COMMISSIONERS CIRCLE

concert:nova's new Commissioner's Circle is headed by board chair Alfonso Lopez, and strives to bring music lovers together to support the creation of new work in Cincinnati.

Our first project:

As part of concert:nova's upcoming partnership with the Vocal Arts Ensemble the two groups commissioned Lansing McCloskey's Zealot Canticle for clarinet and vocal ensemble. This world premiere takes place at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center on April 29, 2012 in a performance entitled "TRUTH: Listening to Liberation", commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
