Explore Beethoven’s life in Vienna through five wines with sommelier Ron Merlino, paired with live selections from five string quartets.

Experience Beethoven’s Vienna through the music he created and the wines of the city he called home.

Presented by concertnova in partnership with the Cincinnati Wine Academy, Beethoven + Wine pairs five Viennese wines with selections from five of Beethoven’s string quartets. Sommelier Ron Merlino will guide guests through each pour, illuminating the wines, places, and culture that surrounded Beethoven during his life in Vienna. Each tasting will be paired with a live performance by the concertnova String Quartet.

Together, the five pairings trace Beethoven’s development from the wit and elegance of his early quartets through the bold experimentation of his middle period and the extraordinary intensity of his late works.
